William R. Harris is a 20-year veteran in the planning and development of marketing content. He has taught at the college level, as well as worked with ad agencies, corporations and non-profits. As a senior consultant for the White Pigeon Group he has been instrumental in developing the Great Lakes American Indian Art Institute. Past agency affiliations include J.D. Thomas, Berkel Advertising, Aves, Inc., and Jager & Associates. A winner of numerous local ADDYs, he has also been honored by the American Red Cross and Print magazine. His regional and national clients have included Dow Chemical, Noranda Magnesium, and Zondervan
Mr. Harris holds an undergraduate degree in English from Western Michigan University, and a Masters of Divinity from Western Theological Seminary. In 1994 he received his M.B.A. in marketing from the Seidman School of Business at Grand Valley State University.
An active volunteer, he has contributed his skills to non-profits such as the Grand Rapids Youth Commonwealth, the state-champion speech/drama program at Grand Rapids City High, and the Advisory Board for the North American Indian Center. He has also served on the board of the American Marketing Association in numerous capacities, most recently as the program chair. Away from work, he enjoys theatre, sailing, skiing, and the thrill of competition in masters swimming.
